Optical MEMS and nanophotonic technologies enable the miniaturization and ultra-miniaturization of photonic devices and systems/sub-systems that promise to deliver new and enhanced capabilities to optical communications; physical, chemical and bio-sensing; optical storage; optical imaging and displays.
The 2014 International Conference on Optical MEMS and Nanophotonics will cover the most recent advances emerging from the extensive research and development in optical MEMS and nanophotonics that is continuing at academic, government and industrial laboratories worldwide. The Conference will cover the latest advances in fundamental and applied research on micro-optical and nanophotonic devices and systems; the latest advances in materials and process technologies relevant to optical MEMS and nanophotonics; and the latest advances in the applications of optical MEMS and nanophotonic devices and systems.
The conference will be held in Glasgow, Scotland from 17 August - 21 August 2014 and will be hosted by the University of Strathclyde.
General Chair: Deepak Uttamchandani (University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK)
Optical MEMS Program Chair: Andreas Seifert (IMTEK, University of Freiburg, Germany)
Nanophotonics Program Chair: Aaron Danner (National University of Singapore, Singapore)
